Taco Cupcakes Recipe

These bite-sized taco cupcakes are layered with crispy wonton wrappers, seasoned beef, and gooey cheese—perfect for game days, parties, or a fun Quick and easy weeknight dinner. They’re irresistible straight from the oven!

Ingredients
  

Main Layers

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 24 wonton wrappers

Toppings

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup salsa
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions

Optional Garnishes

  • Diced tomatoes
  • Guacamole
  • Sliced jalapeños
  • Sliced black olives

Instructions
 

Preheat & Prep:

  • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a standard muffin tin.

Cook the Beef:

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain, then stir in taco seasoning per packet directions. Let cool slightly.

Layer the Cups:

  • Press a wonton wrapper into each muffin cup. Add a spoonful of seasoned beef, then a sprinkle of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
  • Layer a second wonton wrapper on top, followed by more beef and both cheeses.

Bake:

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and cheese is bubbling.

Finish & Serve:

  • Cool slightly, then top each taco cupcake with sour cream, salsa, and green onions. Load up with extra toppings if you like!
